EFSA and RIVM are collaborating to implement dietary risk assessment of combined exposure to multiple pesticides using the Monte Carlo Risk Assessment (MCRA) tool. This type of risk assessment is also referred to as cumulative risk assessment (CRA) or mixture risk assessment (MRA). A distinction can be made between retrospective CRA, which aims at estimating the possible risks for specific populations in a recent past period, and prospective CRA, which aims at estimating the possible risks in view of the approval of pesticides, authorisation of products or setting of maximum residue level (MRLs). This informative stakeholder webinar will focus on prospective CRA methodology and application using MCRA.
