Introduction
Welcome to the 'Getting Started with the Interoperability Test Bed' course!
The purpose of the course is twofold. Firstly, it was designed to equip managers in national public administrations with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement conformance and interoperability systems testing for semantic and technical aspects using the Interoperability Test Bed. Secondly, it was designed to show managers how to put in place appropriate tools and resources.
The Interoperability Test Bed is a service offered by the European Commission’s DIGIT to facilitate the conformance testing of IT systems. The Test Bed is itself a software system that can be both downloaded and installed locally, but also reused through a shared online installation operated by DIGIT. It offers an intuitive web user interface that allows administrators to define their project’s overall testing setup as well as users to connect and run tests.
In this course, you will:
1. Be able to explain what Test Bed is;
2. Be able to
describe the advantages of Test Bed;
3. Understand how the Test Bed works and
the different roles;
4. Understand the main application
scenarios and use cases;
