This MOOC is addressing the policy level of basic skills provision in the context the Upskilling Pathways by focusing on how member states can support the formation of efficient workplace basic skills policies and programs. The course content is based on the fourth OER unit of the Capacity Building Series of EBSN on EPALE with the same title: Workplace Basic Skills: Policy and Practice.
Target audience
Policy-makers, experts and other professionals who have a stake in basic skills policy and are currently engaged in the implementation of the Upskilling Pathways recommendation.
Learning objectives
- to provide policy-makers, AL professionals, representatives of public employment services, etc with a learning and collaborative environment to gather, exchange views and learn together
- to address the policy framework of basic skills learning initiatives at workplaces and to see examples of good practices
- to provide EPALE users with opportunities to take part in the learning process, and contribute to the generation of open learning resources in the field of workplace-focused basic skills policy
- to contribute to the repository of practices linked to Upskilling Pathways
