Account Deletion
- Why is your account being deleted?
The EU Academy has over one million user accounts. However, we have noticed that many of these accounts have been inactive for long periods. To enhance platform performance and comply with GDPR regulations, we are deleting accounts that have been inactive for more than 12 months.
This means that if you haven’t logged into your EU Academy account for over a year, your account is scheduled for deletion. You will receive email notifications beforehand. If no action is taken, your account will be deleted automatically. To keep your account active, simply log in at least once every 12 months.
- What is the procedure?
You will receive an initial email informing you that your account is scheduled for deletion due to 12 months of inactivity. No action is required on your part to delete your account: the process will happen automatically unless you log in before the deadline.
- How can you delete my account manually?
If you prefer to delete your account yourself, follow these simple steps:
1. Log into the EU Academy.
2. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner, then select Settings → Delete my account.
3. Confirm your choice in the pop-up window.
You will receive a confirmation email titled "EU Academy account deleted" within a few minutes.
- What happens if you do nothing?
If you choose not to take any action, your account will be deleted automatically after 12 months of inactivity. Once deleted, your personal data and learning history cannot be restored.
- How can you download your certificates?
If you have earned certificates through EU Academy courses and want to keep them, please:
1. Log into the EU Academy.
2. Go to My Learning → Certificates.
3. Click Download PDF next to each certificate you wish to save.
