Kızkumu Beach

Kızkumu Beach, also known as Maiden's Beach, is a unique beach located in the Bodrum area. During low tide, a natural sandbar emerges from the water, creating a magical pathway extending into the sea.

Legend has it that the name "Kızkumu" translates to "Maiden's Beach" because it was believed that maidens would walk on the sandbar to meet their lovers, only to be swallowed by the sea. While the legend adds a touch of mystique to the beach, the natural explanation lies in the shallow depth of the water and the fine sand, which creates a solid path that allows visitors to stroll along the sandbar.
