Dear learners,
I would like to wish you a wonderful 20th of August, which marks the day 32 years ago when Estonia declared independence from the Soviet Union.
The day is celebrated with concerts all over the country which are followed by parties that take advantage of the fact that this bank holiday is in summer, unlike Independence Day, which is in February.
Let us know how you are celebrating the Restoration of Independence Day in Estonia, and if you even knew that Estonia had two independence days! In Estonian we say mida rohkem, seda uhkem - the more the merrier.

Soovin teile imelist 20. augustit, mis tähistab seda, kui Eesti kuulutas välja iseseisvuse Nõukogude Liidust.
Päeva tähistatakse üle kogu riigi kontsertidega, millele järgnevad peod, mis kasutavad ära juhust, et see riigipüha on suvel, erinevalt iseseisvuspäevast, mis on veebruaris.
Anna teada, kuidas tähistad taasiseseisvumispäeva Eestis ja kas teadsid üldse, et Eestil oli kaks iseseisvuspäeva! Eestis keeles ütleme, et mida rohkem, seda uhkem!
