The European Day of Languages was established by the Council of Europe and the European Union in 2001 to promote linguistic diversity and the importance of learning and preserving languages in Europe.
You can use this day as an opportunity to:
- Raise awareness about the rich linguistic and cultural diversity in Europe.
- Encourage people to learn and appreciate languages other than their mother tongue.
- Promote language learning as a means to foster intercultural understanding and communication.
- Highlight the importance of language skills for personal, social, and professional development.
