The start of a new semester at university is not exactly a stress-free time. However, the start of a new semester also means that we have a chance to start with a clean slate. In order to be able to start the new semester with renewed energy, it doesn't hurt to prepare a little for it, both mentally and physically.

In the following, I will share five tips with you on how you can make the next months easier for yourself and how you can quickly settle into university life.

Develop a routine

By creating a routine, you can feel that you are in control of your everyday life, even if you may not follow a strict daily schedule. Incorporate small habits into your everyday life - this can reduce your possible anxiety and occasionally give you the opportunity to relax.

Get enough sleep

It is good if we prepare yourself not only mentally, but also physically, and one of the most important parts of this is the right amount of sleep. To be able to study smoothly, you need enough sleep. Go to bed on time and sleep at least 7-8 hours!

Clean up

An orderly environment has a huge impact on your motivation. If there is cleanliness in our living space, it also refreshes you, it makes you feel full of energy and motivated.

Prepare in advance for your lessons

If your instructor has already uploaded materials, review them! This way you can see roughly what you can expect and what topics will be discussed during the lessons. This helps a lot in understanding and learning the curriculum.

Update your knowledge

It may come in handy if you review the more important theoretical knowledge you learned about in the previous semester, as this way you can more easily delve into the related topics during the upcoming courses. Repetition greatly contributes to successful, effective learning.

We are here to wish you all the best and be the valuable support on your semester abroad. Tell us what information you need more of and how we can help! Lots of luck!
