Let’s dive into part two of “Famous Swedes” in the music industry.


RedOne

RedOne, whose real name is Nadir Khayat, is a prominent Moroccan-Swedish music producer, songwriter, and record executive – born on April 9, 1972, in Tétouan, Morocco. RedOne gained widespread recognition for his production work with Swedish artist Darin in 2005, particularly for the hit single "Step Up," which marked his initial breakthrough in the music industry.

He has collaborated with many international superstars, including Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, Enrique Iglesias, Usher, and more. His work with Lady Gaga on her debut album "The Fame" resulted in chart-topping hits like "Just Dance" and "Poker Face." He has received numerous awards and nominations for his contributions to the music industry, including Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and World Music Awards.



Ace of Base 

Ace of Base is a Swedish pop group that achieved international fame in the 1990s. Formed in 1987 in Gothenburg, the band consisted of siblings Jonas Berggren, Linn Berggren, Jenny Berggren, and Ulf Ekberg. Ace of Base's breakthrough came in 1992 with the release of their debut album "Happy Nation" (also known as "The Sign" in some regions). The album included hit singles like "All That She Wants," "The Sign," and "Don't Turn Around."

"Happy Nation/The Sign" became among the best-selling debut albums ever. They took a break after 2010 and reunited in 2015 with Jonas, Linn, and Ulf, where they released new music, including the single "Would You Believe." Ace of Base is remembered as one of the iconic pop groups of the 1990s.

Björn Skifs

Björn Skifs is a Swedish singer, songwriter, actor, and television host born on April 20, 1947, in Vansbro, Sweden, known for his versatile talents and contributions to the entertainment industry. Skifs began his music career in the 1960s and gained popularity as the lead singer of the Swedish rock band Blue Swede. The band's cover of "Hooked on a Feeling" became an international hit in the early 1970s.

After his time with Blue Swede, Skifs pursued a successful solo career. He released numerous albums and singles, achieving chart success in Sweden and other countries. Some of his popular songs include "Michelangelo," "Det blir alltid värre framåt natten," and "Fångad i en dröm." He has received multiple awards and honors for his contributions to the music and entertainment industry, including the Swedish Grammis and Rockbjörnen Awards.



The Cardigans

The Cardigans are a Swedish alternative rock band formed in Jönköping, Sweden, in 1992. The band gained international fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s with their unique blend of pop, rock, and indie music. The band's third album, "First Band on the Moon" (1996), included their most popular single, "Lovefool." The song became a global hit after being featured in the soundtrack of the film "Romeo + Juliet."

After releasing their album "Super Extra Gravity" in 2005, The Cardigans took a break and reunited again in 2012. The Cardigans' music continues to be appreciated by alternative and indie rock fans. Their songs are often featured in movie soundtracks and commercials, contributing to their enduring popularity.



Robyn

Robyn, whose full name is Robin Miriam Carlsson, is a highly influential Swedish singer, songwriter, and record producer, born on June 12, 1979, in Stockholm, Sweden. Robyn started her music career at a young age, releasing her debut album at 16 in 1995. The album, titled "Robyn Is Here," included hit singles like "Do You Know (What It Takes)" and "Show Me Love." Robyn achieved international success in the late 1990s and early 2000s when her single "Show Me Love" became a major hit in the United States, reaching the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. 

One of Robyn's most notable songs is "With Every Heartbeat," which was released in 2007. The track, produced by Kleerup, topped the charts in the United Kingdom and became critically acclaimed for its emotional depth and electronic production. Robyn released a mini-album series known as the "Body Talk" trilogy in 2010, which included hit singles such as "Dancing On My Own" and "Call Your Girlfriend."

Andreas Carlsson

Andreas Carlsson is a Swedish music producer, songwriter, and television personality born in Uppsala, Sweden, on April 17, 1973. Carlsson started his career as a member of the Swedish group Alcazar. He later transitioned to songwriting and producing, becoming one of the business's most successful and sought-after songwriters. Carlsson has collaborated with several renowned artists, including Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Westlife, and more. 

Some of his notable works include "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys, "Bye Bye Bye" by *NSYNC, "I'm Alive" by Celine Dion, and "Crawling" by Linkin Park. Carlsson has appeared as a judge and mentor on various television talent shows, including the Swedish Idol and X Factor. He's also received several awards and nominations for his songwriting achievements, including BMI Awards and Ivor Novello Awards.
