Yesterday, on November 5th, we celebrated International Volunteer Day! So, if you have ever done any kind of volunteering or know someone who volunteers in a project or organization, yesterday was the day dedicated to these efforts. However, every day should be about promoting these kinds of projects and assistance that you can provide to various communities.
Being a volunteer is about helping, sharing, interacting, and doing your best for others, always thinking about the greater good. Moreover, it's an opportunity for self-discovery, broadening your horizons, gaining skills, and developing more empathy for others!

In 2023, the theme of International Volunteer Day is the power of collective action: if everyone did.
It's never too late to become a volunteer, and as a student, you have the opportunity to participate in the European Solidarity Corps. Personally, it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life, and it could be yours too!
These projects offer an inspiring and empowering experience, as well as the chance to bring change while developing your skills and competences.
How does it work?
The European Solidarity Corps funding is provided in the form of grants to organisations through call for proposals.
Young people wishing to engage in such activities need to register in the European Solidarity Corps portal. The European Solidarity Corps portal offers a place for those young people and organisations, holding a grant, to implement activities and to find each other.
These can be in a wide range of fields – education and training, citizenship and democratic participation, environment and natural protection, migration, culture, humanitarian aid, and many others.
