Dear community,

Whenever you go abroad it’s always good to learn a few basics, especially when you’re moving there. In this post you will find a lesson of basic greetings in Serbian that, when used, will sure be appreciated by locals.

Greetings Lesson:

  • Hello – Zdravo

  • Goodbye – Doviđenja

  • Good morning – Dobro jutro

  • Good afternoon – Dobar dan

  • Good evening – Dobro veče

  • My name is … – Moje ime je ...

  • What is your name? – Kako se ti zoveš?

  • Nice to meet you – Drago mi je da što smo se upoznali

  • How are you? – Kako si?

  • I’m fine thank you – Ja sam dobro, hvala

  • Please – Molim te

  • Thank you – Hvala

  • Excuse me – Izvinite

I hope you enjoyed this lesson! Let me know in the comments below if you have already used some greetings in Serbian and how the locals reacted.

Warm regards,
