Dear community,
Today, January 24th, is the day that we all celebrate the International Day of Education. And as a lifelong learner this is a fantastic day to think about your language education goals this year and start making a plan to achieve those goals.
Examples of goals:
- Learning a new word everyday for the coming 3 months
- Practice your language 5 minutes every day
- Read an article on language learning every week
- Learn about the 20 most commonly used verbs in Dutch
- Plan a trip abroad to practice the language you've been learner
- Join a Dutch group-speaking session on OLS
- Commit to doing the A1 and/or A2 course on OLS
- Commit to doing the 7 day language challenge on OLS
- Learning the 100 most commonly used words in Dutch
The Key to Goal Setting: Commitment & Accountability
Your goals could be anything you want them to be, but make sure they are 100% fully goals that you actually want to reach. As full commitment is the starting point of any goals you actually end up accomplishing. You can share your language learning goals with the community for that extra bit of accountability and motivation by replying to this discussion topic.
I look forward to hearing about your goals this year. I'll be right there with you to cheer you on!
Warm wishes,
Marieke, OLS Community Manager - Dutch
