We mentioned Czech famous filmakers some time ago in our blog and also the whole film making industry and its popularity in the country. The land of Forman, Věra Chytilová, Jiří Menzel, Alice Nellis has a rich history and innovative approach to motion pictures in general.
This time we would like to make sure that you are aware about our festival which is held in beautiful Karlovary Vary each year and has been visited by foreign movie stars ever since.
It is hard to get tickets for the shows, but if you try hard you may see one of the tenths of performances of the best film making.
WINNER OF 2024
"The winning film of the 58th KVIFF is the documentary A Sudden Glimpse to Deeper Things. It is an essayistic portrait of a British artist, with deep insights into the world of gender, climate, and creativity, by Scottish-Irish director Mark Cousins."
This year main focus landed on actors Geoffrey Rush, Clive Oven, film Director Lilja Ingolfsdottir, producer Thomas Robsahm and actress Helga Guren, film Director Nelicia Low, and others.
