The International Student Day is a global holiday of
Czech origin, commemorating the tragic events that occurred in the Czech lands during World War II.
November 17th marks the anniversary of these events, which led to the declaration of the International Student Day in 1941 by the International Students' Council in London. This holiday serves as a reminder of the struggles and sacrifices of students not only in the Czech Republic.
