Hi everyone!
With New Year’s Eve just around the corner, I’m curious about how you celebrate this festive occasion in your native countries!
Here in Croatia, many students love to gather with friends for house parties or head out to city squares where free concerts create an amazing atmosphere. Popular destinations include Zagreb’s main square, Split’s Riva promenade, and Dubrovnik’s old town, where the celebrations are always lively and fun!
For those who prefer a quieter evening, renting a cabin in the countryside or having a cozy movie night with friends is also common. Students on a budget often organize potluck dinners where everyone brings a dish to share. Traditional Croatian food like sarma (cabbage rolls) and fritule (mini doughnuts) are must-haves on the table!
What about your country? How do you like to celebrate New Year’s Eve? Do you have any unique traditions or habits? I’d love to hear your experiences!
Feel free to share your stories—let’s spread some festive cheer in comments!
