I can highly recommend people to visit Bilbao in the summer which is a beautiful city with good food, a beautiful river, guggenheim museum and a lovely beach to the north. Basque country is a region that more people should discover.

Hi Henning :-) I agree. The Basque Country is packed with beautiful places to explore. I especially like San Sebastián and Zarautz, the latter being a popular surfing destination. My basque friends have recommended me visiting the Delika Canyon, Gaztelugatxe, Hondarribia and Guetaria, among others.

As you mentioned, the Basque Country is also well known for its cuisine. It is a region that has one of the highest per capita concentrations of MICHELIN-starred restaurants in the world! If you want to know the history of one of its signature dishes (Bacalao al pil pil), check out this article.

A few years ago I visited a city called Ronda, in the region of Andalusia. It is a super beautiful city. I recommend it 100%.

Una de mis ciudades favoritas es San Sebastián de la region del País Vasco. La playa de la Concha y el centro histórico son muy bonitos.

Efectivamente, San Sebastián es una ciudad preciosa. He estado varias veces y me encanta. Para que lo sepáis, "San Sebastián" es el nombre en español. En vasco se llama "Donostia". ⛈ ⛱

Indeed, San Sebastian is a beautiful city. I have been there several times and I love it. FYI, "San Sebastian" is the name in Spanish. In Basque it is called "Donostia". ⛈ ⛱
