What are #ErasmusDays?

The #ErasmusDays are a six-day international celebration of the Erasmus+ programme. Every year, people all over the world come together to organise or join events that highlight the projects and opportunities made possible by Erasmus+. It's a great chance for students, teachers, trainees, professionals and really anyone interested to share their experiences and show the many benefits of being part of this programme.

In 2025, the 9th edition of the #ErasmusDays will take place from 13th to 18th October.

The #ErasmusDays started in 2017, launched by the French Erasmus+ National Agency, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Erasmus programme. The first edition included events in 11 countries, with around 650 activities. In 2018, participation grew quickly, with events happening in 39 countries and more than 1,400 activities. By 2019, there were almost 4,000 events across 53 countries. And in 2024, we saw the biggest numbers yet: 10,112 events in 60 countries!

This year, we hope even more people get involved and join these exciting days full of culture, learning, fun and you can be part of it too!

Looking for all the events in 2025?

The official #ErasmusDays website has a dedicated and easy-to-use section where you can explore all the events taking place. You can filter by country, city, type of event, add any relevant tags, and even choose the dates, making it easy to plan ahead and take part in as many events as possible. I can already tell you that Portugal has around 100 events this year, happening between 13 and 18 October. That’s plenty of opportunities to discover more about the Erasmus+ programme and meet new people. Ready to explore? Click the link and see what’s happening near you: Discover All Events!

This year the focus of #ErasmusDays 2025 is on the values of the European Union with the theme “Live our values inspire our future”. The six values of the EU are the expression of a common ideal based on: respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, rule of law and human rights. These values are shared by all EU countries and support a society based on inclusion tolerance justice solidarity and non-discrimination.
