Dear community,
Every year on 17 November, the world comes together to mark International Students' Day—a day rooted in remarkable bravery. The observance dates back to 1939, when students in Prague stood up against the Nazi occupation and paid a tragic price for defending their right to education. Their courage sparked a legacy that continues to inspire generations.
In 2025, International Students' Day is more than a historical remembrance; it’s a global celebration of student rights, academic freedom, and youth empowerment. It reminds us that education is not just a privilege but a fundamental force for change. Today’s students—diverse, connected, and driven—carry forward the spirit of those who fought before them, advocating for fair access to learning and the freedom to think, question, and innovate.
As we reflect on this day, we honour the past while empowering the leaders of tomorrow. Their voices matter. Their ideas matter. And their pursuit of knowledge continues to shape a better, more just world.
