You can take the placement test at any time. It aims to provide a course recommendation, but it's not mandatory. You can also use the final test of your course to assess your progress within a certain level.

Search for your city in the "My Erasmus+ Experience" forum. You can also search your host institution's Erasmus+ office for local student groups. The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) has local chapters in most European cities and organises regular meetups.

There is currently no way to unsubscribe from a course. If you wish to unsubscribe, please contact eu-academy-support@ec.europa.eu.

Yes, you can enrol on any course you like, regardless of level or language. We recommend you do the final test of your current level first, to make sure you are equipped to do the next level.

Unfortunately, you can't see the right or wrong answers in the placement test. The test is not meant to be a learning activity; its purpose is to recommend an appropriate course for your level. The quizzes inside the language courses will show you what you did wrong and give you feedback to progress.

The "My Erasmus+ Experience" forum is the right place for this type of question. Browse existing threads — past participants have shared detailed guides on topics including public transport, opening a bank account, registering with local authorities, and accessing healthcare. If your specific question is not covered, go ahead and post it. The community manager and fellow participants will respond.

What do I do if I have not received my OLS test invitation email?

Check your spam or junk folder — the invitation is sent from noreply@erasmusplus.eu. If the email is not there within 5 days of your mobility confirmation, contact your sending organisation directly. They can resend the invitation from their end. Do not contact OLS support — the invitation is managed by your sending organisation, not by the platform.

Note that this does not block you from taking the placement test and starting to learn with OLS!

I receive too many "forum digest" emails from OLS. How can I unsubscribe?

You can unsubscribe at any time from any forum following those steps:

1. Open the email and click on the link to open the forum you wish to unsubscribe from. 

2. Ensure that "subscribe" is greyed out.

The result page shows an error or stays blank after completing the test. What should I do?

Try these steps in order:

  1. Clear your browser cache and cookies.
  2. Switch to an up-to-date version of Chrome or Firefox.
  3. Disable any browser extensions or ad-blockers.
  4. Try in a private/incognito window.
  5. If the problem persists, contact eu-academy-support@ec.europa.eu.
