The aim of the course

    • to give a general insight into the significance of outreach initiatives and clues to implement elements into basic skills programs that spark and maintain motivation of the learners until the end of the learning program
    • provide an opportunity to reflect on the basic aspects of an outreach strategy for the successful involvement of adult learners into basic skills training
    • create the very basics of an action plan draft for outreach initiatives dedicated to the participants’ organisation

Design approach

The MOOC is based on a design approach that takes 4 basic steps into account in four different course units:

Step 1: Preparing for outreach (Get ready to approach the field!) 

Step 2: Understanding the challenges (Read about the problems at hand!)

Step 3: Drafting a solution (Reflect on your own context!)

Step 4: Systemic elements (Think about supporting measures!)

Engage in the selected materials from the OER on Outreach, motivation and persistence on EPALE and the course activities to learn about outreach in the context of your own organisation!
