The Rural Life and Most Beautiful Villages in Romania
Well, hello there! This post is all about Romania's rich rural culture. I grew up in the countryside and let me tell you, life there is simple and special. Traditions in the countryside are still part of people's everyday life, all of which you will learn more below. Kids are playing in nature all day long, there is far less pollution than in the city and everyone seems just content with their lives.
The rural way of life is undoubtedly the most distinctive feature of Romania's cultural history. During the last few years, there was a shift of mentality, where Romanians chose to move to the countryside and live a simpler, traditional life. In the rural places, people would cultivate their own food, have farm animals and do all sorts of related activities, such as building haystacks (so fun!).
If you ever have the chance to visit a Romanian village, you will be struck by its simplicity and beauty. Many of the homes are made of wood and clay, and the people living there still wear traditional clothes. Some of the traditional occupations in the countryside are weaving, pottery making, and woodcarving. These skills are highly valued in Romanian society and are often passed down from generation to generation.
