This online workshop provides a preparatory introduction to the new EFSA methodology on the use of Historical Control Data (HCD) in regulatory toxicology (EFSA, 2025). It focuses on key statistical concepts underpinning the EFSA methodology and introduces the basic use of R software for HCD data analysis. The session supports participants in preparing for the practical application of the methodology in subsequent physical training activities.
