Description du cours

Artificial Intelligence (AI) functionalities are becoming an integral part of the Systematic Review (SR) process, offering opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual workloads, and improve overall efficiency. However, the growing integration of AI into SR workflows presents both opportunities and challenges. This course aims to educate researchers on how to responsibly and effectively use the AI tools incorporated in the SR management platform DistillerSR, the main SR platform used in EFSA. It covers the definitions, purposes, advantages, and potential limitations of using the tools Preview and Rank, Re-Rank, AI Screening and Classifiers, and gives an overview of how to access and use these tools in the platform's interface.

Public cible

The primary target audience comprises individuals with a strong working knowledge of DistillerSR, specifically project administrators and advanced users who are already proficient with the core functionalities of the software. These users are expected to be familiar with setting up and managing systematic review projects, customising workflows, and troubleshooting basic issues within DistillerSR.
While the course is designed to be accessible to a broader audience, it is especially recommended for those who hold decision-making roles in SR projects, such as process administrators responsible for determining methodological approaches and overseeing project workflows.

Objectifs d'apprentissage

This eLearning aims to familiarise participants with DistillerSR’s AI functionalities, enabling them to improve the efficiency and accuracy of their systematic reviews. By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
  • Understand the key AI features within DistillerSR and how they can streamline SR workflows.
  • Identify opportunities within their own projects where AI tools can be applied to save time and reduce manual workload.
  • Gain confidence in utilising AI functionalities to enhance decision-making and data management in SR projects.
The eLearning serves as an introductory step, after which learners are encouraged to consult the comprehensive DistillerSR AI manuals to further expand their knowledge.
