Creative classrooms with AI: Innovate responsibly
Course details
This course focuses on using AI to support creativity in the classroom, offering practical approaches for teachers to encourage student-led creation, innovation, and engaging learning experiences that reflect today’s educational realities. Participants explore a range of AI tools for creative expression and examine how these tools can support key competences such as critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity. The course emphasises a shift from AI as a content generator to AI as a creative partner, enabling learners to brainstorm ideas, prototype solutions, remix content, and develop original work across subjects and age groups.
Teachers are guided through hands-on design activities, including prompt design for classroom use, the use of AI to support STEAM and interdisciplinary projects, and the creation of learning tasks that move students from consumers to creators. Ethical and responsible use is embedded within these creative practices, helping teachers model intentional, transparent, and reflective AI use. By the end of the course, participants will have designed classroom-ready activities and resources that support student creativity, competence development, and responsible engagement with AI.
The course is offered by the European School Education Platform. Visit our website for more information.
