Target audience
This e-Capsule is designed to provide justice professionals, particularly judges, prosecutors, court staff, lawyers, bailiffs and notaries, with a comprehensive understanding of how to handle cross-border parental responsibility cases.
Learning objectives
- Understand the harmonised rules on jurisdiction in parental-responsibility disputes, including custody, access rights, and placement of children, as provided under the Brussels IIb Regulation.
- Identify the scope and jurisdiction of Brussels IIb Regulation in cross-border parental responsibility cases.
- Determine the simplified and clearer rules on the application and enforcement of procedures for decision on parental responsibility.
