New flatmates
Do you need an easy, informal greeting in Czech? In English, ahoy is what people on boats shout to attract attention. But in Czech, ahoj, almost pronounced like the English word, is an informal greeting.
Watch this short video and let new flatmates Štefan and Veronika teach you formal and informal greetings and how to provide information about yourself, such as where you are from and what languages you speak. Before you say "čau" (goodbye) - pronounced like the Italian ciao - to this lesson, take the quiz and test your understanding.
You can change the language of the teaching breaks in the video, and of your EU Academy, to English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, or Czech in the top right-hand corner of your screen
