Did you know that Serbian is a digraphic language? It uses two writing systems – the Cyrillic and the Latin alphabets, the former for official documents and in schools, the latter for everything else.
Watch this short video in which poet, writer and translator Desanka Maksimović gives you a glimpse of Serbian music and dance. She will introduce you to a Serbian word that cannot be translated and that is used to express a wide range of emotions.
