Course details

We’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one- Dr. Who

The eTwinning community has started as a school network and became a vibrant community of educators, promoting educational use of technology to produce improved learning outcomes. However, eTwinning work affects not only individual teachers and pupils, but also the educational institutions as a whole. eTwinning schools are considered to be learning organisations that put the notion of shared leadership into practice, foster communication and collaboration among teachers, activate students and promote innovation and inclusion, acting as models for other schools.

After the course eTwinning Schools: Collaboration in Practice, this is the second course of the series “eTwinning Schools”, that emphasizes on making our students “Agents of Change”. Through this course, we will explore the importance of supporting our students in their endeavour to be the best story they can be and the various ways of empowering them by making them the protagonists of their learning journey. We will discover what they have to say about being “agents of change”, how that has impacted them as a person and what they have learnt about themselves in the process. It is already known that permanent change has to come from within, with fundamental changes. Hence, our students need to be empowered to open their eyes, really open them and look around; they need us, the teachers, to actually hear them, with our hearts, not just our ears. Learning stems from emotions and emotions are personal, undeniably strong, and unique. While we cannot predict the trajectory of anyone's journey, we can provide a safe space for them to share their truth and witness the evolution of their story within our classrooms.
