On your first day in the flat, you get to know each other and talk about your family and other people you know and say how old you are.
Start LearningYou have an appointment with people you have not yet met for group work, a trip to the cinema, a walk or a football match. You ask friends to send you a whatsapp message describing these people to you so you can recognise them. You describe yourself so they can recognise you.
Start LearningYou come back to the flat at the end of your day and talk about how you are with your flatmates. You exchange a few thoughts and feelings.
Start LearningYou've been late and tired for days because your housemates are hogging the shower. You get together and make a bathroom schedule to suit everyone's timetable.
Start LearningThere's a spare room in your flat-share, so you're looking for a new flatmate. You put an advert with a questionnaire (including interests and a photo) for people to fill in on a shared flat property search site. You look at who has responded and the people's answers and present the profiles that have caught your eye.
Start LearningYou fill in a form on a website or an application (Erasmus+ app) that organises cultural meetings and activities (between locals and young people). You describe why you want to take part in these cultural activities and describe what you are looking for on the website.
Start LearningYour housemate wants to spend the day with you. You describe your schedule to find a time that suits you both.
Start LearningYou don't feel well and go to your local medical centre. You describe what's wrong with you. After your consultation, you go to pay and make an appointment with another specialist (the dentist).
Start LearningYou've just arrived in town and you ask a friend what to do in the area and which shops you should know.
Start LearningYou prepare an itinerary for your friends who are coming to visit you in your city. You describe the means of transport and the stops to get there.
Start LearningYou and your flatmate are organising a dinner party with a few friends. With your flatmate, you draw up a shopping list to buy the ingredients for your recipe.
Start LearningYou leave a message on a messaging app for your friend to give her the recipe for the cake you made at the last dinner party you invited her to.
Start LearningYou're invited to a party but you have nothing to wear. You go shopping with a friend and explain what you're looking for. You make a choice.
Start LearningA friend tells you that they are moving house and are looking for a new place to live. As one of your flatmates is leaving, you offer to let her move in with you and describe your home to her. You talk about how you are going to decorate the living room.
Start LearningYou have been invited to your friends' house-warming party. You want to give them a decorative gift. You go to a homeware store, ask for information about decorative items, choose and buy.
Start LearningIt's Sunday! You're going to get brunch with a friend in a coffee shop. You look at the options on the menu and order.
Start LearningYou have received two invitations and an announcement. You respond to the invitations by accepting or declining, and congratulate your friends on the good news.
