  • Chapter 1 - Understanding the challenge

    • Welcome to the first chapter of this online course! Please find some details about the materials and learning activities here:

      • Read the learning content in the pages titled: Design Thinking & basic skills provision and Step 1: Understanding the Challenge! There are readings, short videos, and some visualised content here. You may take notes of the most important parts of the content that speak best to your context.
      • After covering these units, you will arrive at the Cases studies where you can see examples of practices that relate to the Design Thinking steps discussed in this chapter (Discovery & Interpretation). 
      • At the end of this chapter, you can find the Design Thinking Activities. These are short reflective activities giving you the opportunity to think about your own professional context and practice with special regards to applying the Design Thinking approach. You can download the assignment sheet and fill it out with your written reflections.

    • Welcome to the second chapter of this online course! Please find some details about the completion of this chapter’s materials and learning activities here:

      • Read the learning content in the pages titled: Step 2: Create your prototype! There are readings, short videos, and some visualised content here. You may take notes of the most important parts of the content that speak best to your context.
      • After covering these units, by clicking on the Go to case studies button at the bottom right corner, you will arrive at the Cases studies where you can see examples of practices that relate to the Design Thinking steps discussed in this chapter (Ideation & Experimentation). 
      • At the end of this chapter, you can find the Design Thinking Activities. This time it is one short reflective task giving you the opportunity to think about your own professional context and practice with special regards to applying the Design Thinking approach. You can download the assignment sheet and fill out with your written reflections.
