Learning objectives

• Identify how the leadership function can be applied across the different activities of an EUCPT and in coordination with other stakeholders involved
• Outline how relevant leadership and management theories can be practically adapted and utilised
• Recognise particular circumstances (cultural/political/operational) during an int. deployment, react and make appropriate and timely decisions
• Apply appropriate and effective interpersonal skills in dealing with a range of leadership/management dilemmas
• Analyse strengths and weaknesses of oneself and of team members
• Implement measures related to team welfare and duty of care responsibility
• Interact effictively with the media in accordance with Commission guidelines
• Coordinate and manage a VIP programme
