EIRA is an architecture content metamodel defining the architectural building blocks (ABBs) needed to build interoperable e-Government systems. The EIRA provides a common terminology that can be used by people working for public administrations in various architecture and system development tasks. This course aims at providing an analytical description of the EIRA views focusing on the details of the EIRA technical view and providing specific concrete examples.

Target audience

The target audience will be primarily those with decision-making responsibilities in the area of interoperability application and implementation, and those with responsibility for designing implementation scenarios and architectures. They include:

  • Recap EIRA views and viewpoints at high level
  • Be able to describe the Technical Application view components,
  • Be able to describe the Technical Infrastructure view components,
  • Be able to see how EIRA is used in Solution Architecture Templates with specific examples,
  • Demonstrate ability to undertake requirements analysis and problem definition in collaboration with a solution architect,
  • Recognise available in Joinup tools and solutions that can support the implementation of the EIRA.
