The online course ‘Integrity, transparency and anti-corruption’ aims to increase public administration officials’ knowledge about tools to promote integrity and transparency, prevent and detect unethical behaviour and increase public trust.
The objectives of this online course are to increase public administration officials’ knowledge about how public administration can implement measures to combat corruption and promote integrity, such as creating a code of ethics, conducting corruption risk assessment and establishing whistleblowing mechanisms.
It consists of a 120-minute-long asynchronous learning module composed of three units, including reading, reflections and self-assessment quizzes.
Público objetivo
The target audience of this online module are public administration officials across the EU.
Objetivos de aprendizaje
- Understand the importance of integrity in public administration and identify key ethical values and standards that should guide public officials.
- Understand the role of laws, regulations and institutions in combating corruptions.
- Define key concepts in risk management, understand the steps involved in conducting a comprehensive risk assessment, as well as possible approaches to managing sector-specific risks.
- Understand the different international and national legal frameworks designed to combat corruption.Identify different preventative measures to deter corruption, such as merit-based recruitment, ethics training and administrative simplification.
