  • Working in multidisciplinary teams: A key enabler for BLSI

Multidisciplinary teams are among the key ingredients for supporting policymakers to embrace digital-ready considerations and technology in policymaking.

Having the views of people with different backgrounds relevant for the policy at hand is a key enabler to design a legislation that will be likely to have a smoother implementation. Indeed, collaboration across policy areas is a must  to reconcile different views, priorities and perspectives and to onboard the relevant expertise during policymaking. The views of the four main groups mentioned in this course – policymakers, legal drafters, service managers and IT officials – is key, but other types of backgrounds can also bring valuable insights, including subject matter experts.

Watch the video below to learn more about the benefits of a multidisciplinary team in policymaking, who should be part of it and more.
