One might say Latvian is a complicated language to master, but Latvians say - "Nu.."

"Nu" is the word with whom you can answer any question in Latvian, "Nu" together with your facial expression is enough to hold a conversation in Latvian. 

So life in Latvian is not too complicated, you know your correct "Nu", and people will understand you. :)

Did you know that Latvians joke that this is not a proper meal if it does not contain potatoes? Partly true as potatoes are an important part of almost every meal. But Patotes have different names in different regions of Latvia. On a semi-serious note here is a map of the different names potatoes are called in different regions of Latvia.
