Hello Everyone!

As this is Easter weekend, I thought I would share with you some favourite ways that Denmark generally celebrates the holiday. If you celebrate easter, or if you are partaking in any of these activities in anyway, let us know in the comments!

Decorating Easter eggs - Danes love to decorate Easter eggs with beautiful colors, patterns, and designs. It is a popular activity for families and friends to do together.

Eating Easter lunch - On the Thursday before Easter, many Danes gather with family and friends for a traditional Easter lunch. This typically includes dishes such as pickled herring, smoked salmon, and various types of meat.

Hunting for Easter eggs - On Easter Sunday, children in Denmark participate in an Easter egg hunt, where they search for chocolate eggs and other treats hidden around the house or garden.

Lighting Easter bonfires - On the night before Easter Sunday, many Danes light large bonfires to symbolize the end of winter and the beginning of spring.

Making and eating Easter desserts - Danish Easter desserts are also an important part of the holiday. Popular desserts include "gule ærter", a yellow pea soup, and "risalamande", a creamy rice pudding with almonds and cherry sauce.

Overall, Easter is a time for celebration and spending time with loved ones in Denmark, with several traditions that are enjoyed by all.

Hope you all have a great weekend with loved ones, and looking forward to hearing how you celebrated the holiday.

Happy Easter!
