Dear community,
Today, April 23rd, is UNESCO's World Book Day! It's the day where people throughout the world celebrate the enjoyment of books and reading. This day was chosen in 1995 by UNESCO as a symbolic date in world literature. It is the date on which several important authors passed away, including William Shakespeare and Miguel Cervantes.
On the OLS Community we have also talked about the importance of books, reading and authors in the past couple of months. Specifically, we've created several interesting pieces about Dutch and Flemish authors within the community. If you World Book Day has inspired you read more, I would highly recommend checking out the articles below:
- The Story of Wartime Diarist Anne Frank

Let's share with the each other: what amazing book are you planning on reading next? Share your answer in our OLS Bookish Q&A
I look forward to hearing from you!
Warm wishes,
Marieke (OLS Community Manager)
