Hello, dear Macedonian language learners :)
A few days ago I met a girl named Dunja (Дуња) which means quince, the beautiful smelly yellow fruit.
It inspired me to write a small blog post about all the female names we have in Macedonia that come from sweet fruits.
Јагода - Strawberry
Малина - Raspberry
Вишна - Sour Cherry
Калина (калинка) - Pomgranete
Дуња - Quince
Лимонка (лимон) - Lemon
Isn't it fun? All the inspiration that people find in the sweet taste of the fruits!
