Dear community,
After launching the Dutch OLS Placement Test and the Dutch OLS A1 Course last year we have a new complete course to add to our course catalogue: the Dutch OLS A2 Course!
The course is especially created for those of you ho have a
basic level of Dutch, those who have completed the Dutch OLS A1 course
or those who are placed at A2 level in the Dutch
Placement Test on OLS, and are ready for a new challenge.
What you’ll learn
By the end of the course you’ll be able to understand and use everyday
expressions and essential phrases to support you in:
- Meeting new people
- Sharing information about yourself and learn about others
- Exchange ideas and information on familiar topics
- Talking about things you like and things you don’t like
- Making and responding to suggestion
Each separate module prepares you for a real-world task where you’ll need to use all of the communicative, linguistic and cultural skills you’ve learn.
The Modules
The course is comprised of 10 language learning modules,
plus a module explaining how to get the best out of your learning on OLS. The
modules are as follows:
- Ask or give information: What do I need to take on mobility?
- Tell a sequence of events from the past: I lost my passport!
- Make recommendations: Don’t forget to close the window!
- Describe buildings: Where is the supermarket?
- Request and give directions: My first day at uni.
- Recall a memory: I used to be in a rock band.
- Tell a story and plot: I missed an episode.
- Ask for advice: I have to write an email.
- Talk about your plans, studies and training: Next year, I’m going to be...
- Compare:
I’m throwing a party!
