Dear learners, 

The 24th of June is jaanipäev or midsummer in Estonia. We also briefly mentioned it in the latest blog post on the best outdoor activities which you can check out here.

Of course the most well-known part of jaanipäev is the jaanituli or bonfire. Since it's the shortest night of the year, it is easy to stay up all night and try to capture some of the traditional magic that Estonian legends speak of. For example, did you jump over the fire or try to find a fern that was blossoming? Or perhaps you tried to swing on a traditional Estonian swing for the first time?
