But, if you're like me and want to get a sense of what it's like to be "in" the event itself, you can watch the entire ceremony:
Are you wondering: What is an Ombudsman and why is it important for Europe? Who is the Ombudsman and what do they do?
No problem! Read on, friends:
The Ombudsman is Emily O’Reilly who has served as European Ombudsman since 2013. O’Reilly and her team help people, organisations, and businesses by investigating administrative complaints and by looking into broader systemic issues at the EU level. The Ombudsman’s suggestions and recommendations help maintain high accountability and transparency standards in the EU institutions.
Hmmm.... that's all good, but how does it relate to me?? Excellent Question!
The simple answer is this: If a citizen, business or association has a complaint about an EU institution, organization or agency, the Ombudsman and her team are there to investigate the problem and help you.
Learn more about this essential European entity at their official website.
If you're looking for your next career opportunity, the office of the Ombudsman may be the place for you!
Wishing you a lovely day,
Iya
