Dear community,
Tomorrow, on July 1st, is the official celebration and commemoration of the abolition of slavery in the Surinam and the Dutch Antilles (Saba, St. Eustachius & St. Maarten). The name of this day is Keti Koti, which literally means 'broken chains'.
In recent years Keti Koti has also become a major celebration and commemoration in the Netherlands. If you happen to be in the Netherlands tomorrow it's worth it to see if you can visit a Keti Koti event in your city.
