Dear community,
For those who are not aware of the forums on the OLS (online learning support) platform I would like to introduce you to this inspiring space of learning and connection on the internet.
Why the forums?
The OLS forums are a place to connect with fellow learners, exchange thoughts and ideas about your mobility, learn about your guest country and to practice the language your are learning.
- Looking for accommodation in a new country? Ask the community.
- Want to practice your language skills with fun excises? You can find them in the community.
- Want to make a connection before moving the a new country? Again, that’s what the community is for.
The Forums
There are 3 separate forums within the Dutch Learning Community:
- The ‘Ask the Community’ Forum - where we share general updates and you can ask any of your questions
- The ‘Living Abroad’ Forum - where you find helpful information, micro-communities and cultural insights about living in the Netherlands or Belgium
- The ‘Practice your Dutch’ Forum - where you can find language lessons, tips, games and exercises to develop your language skills in a uplifting environment
Ps
Did you know there is a person behind the forum creating the majority of the content on the OLS community? It’s me Marieke and I’m always here ready to help you with any questions you may have about your mobility or the language :-)

That’s it! Hopefully this introduction helps you to get to know the platform. And for any questions: you know where to find me :-)
Warm wishes,
Marieke (OLS Community Manager)
