Happy Friday, everyone!

Will you spend your weekend stargazing and meteor chasing? Me too! For those that don’t know, The Perseids meteor shower is happening right now. This year, the 12th and 13th of August are the best days to see them. Click here to get more details about how to have a “Watch Party”!

Now that you know what you can look forward to this weekend, let’s wrap up our week with some more fantastic news in the OLS Community and beyond! Read on to get “in the know.” ;)

Speaking of being IN the know, do you know how to use the prepositions IN or ON in the context of travel? Click here to brush up on your skills with the latest discussion topic in Practice Your English.

OLS Community Stories: Videos from the Contest

Do you know about our OLS Community Stories project? This is the page where Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps participants share how the Online Language Support (OLS) has been very useful for their language learning journey. It’s how we welcome feedback, including through personal stories like the ones submitted for the OLS Video Contest.

Take a look at our newest installation which highlights the videos some of you created. The videos can be found at this link: https://academy.europa.eu/courses/ols-community-stories/

After you enjoy the videos, tell us your thoughts here!

Money, Money, Money!

Noooo, I’m not talking about The O’Jays song

nor the ABBA song

But rather that the EU’s currency, the Euro is changing! Today, the European Commission announced that the European Central Bank (ECB) has launched a survey looking for themes for the future euro banknote. Fill out this survey and help them decide how the new euro should look. What would you like to see? Let your opinions and creativity shine!

Thanks for getting all caught up with a few cool things to explore in our OLS community and our galaxy.

Happy stargazing, friends!
