Crafting My Vision Board: A Journey of Dreams and Adventures 

Hello, fellow Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps adventurers! 

Today, I'm thrilled to take you on a creative journey that's as exciting as planning your time in Iceland itself – creating a vision board with an Icelandic twist. Grab your scissors, glue (You can also use an online graphic design software to create your virtual vision board.), and a big dose of enthusiasm because we're about to embark on a colourful, inspiring, and joyful adventure in the Land of Fire and Ice! 

Step 1: Dream Big and Get Inspired 

Close your eyes and let your imagination soar over Iceland's breathtaking landscapes. What are your wildest dreams and aspirations for your time in this enchanting country? Do you want to become fluent in Icelandic, immerse yourself in local traditions like réttir , make lifelong friends, or conquer thrilling challenges like glacier hiking on Vatnajökull? 

It's your canvas, and the Icelandic possibilities are as boundless as the Icelandic horizon! 

Step 2: Gather Your Materials 

Now that you've dreamt big, it's time to gather your creative tools. You'll need a large piece of cardboard or poster board, Icelandic travel magazines for inspiration, scissors, glue or tape, colourful markers, and any other art supplies that capture the Icelandic spirit. The key is to make this vision board uniquely Icelandic, just like your upcoming adventure. You can also use an online graphic design software to create your virtual vision board with Icelandic motifs. 

Step 3: Visualize Your Goals 

Cut out images of Iceland's stunning landscapes, words and phrases that resonate with your goals and dreams, and symbols that represent your aspirations. Consider adding pictures of Icelandic horses, the northern lights, or the warm and welcoming locals. The more personal and steeped in Icelandic culture, the better! 

Step 4: Create Your Icelandic Masterpiece 

Now, let your artistic side shine with an Icelandic flair! Arrange your chosen Icelandic images, words, and phrases on your board in a way that transports you to the heart of Iceland. Feel the excitement as your Icelandic vision starts to take shape. Use markers to add your Icelandic touch, whether it's Icelandic runes, traditional Icelandic patterns, or your favourite Icelandic phrases. Your vision board is a vibrant reflection of your Icelandic adventure, so let your creativity flow freely. 

Step 5: Display and Reflect  

Once your Icelandic vision board is complete, find a special place to display it in your surroundings. Whether it's in your dorm room, on your desk, or even as your phone's wallpaper, keep it somewhere you'll see it daily during your mobility experience. Let it be a constant reminder of the incredible Icelandic adventure awaiting you. 

Step 6: Believe in Your Icelandic Dreams 

Every time you look at your Icelandic vision board, take a moment to reflect on your Icelandic goals. Visualize yourself achieving them in the unique Icelandic setting. Feel the excitement, joy, and fulfilment that only Iceland can provide. Believe in the power of your dreams, because they are the driving force behind your Icelandic adventure. 

Step 7: Take Action 

Your Icelandic vision board is not just a beautiful piece of art; it's a roadmap for your Icelandic journey. Let it inspire you to take action. Join Icelandic language classes, participate in Icelandic cultural events, reach out to fellow adventurers, and embrace every Icelandic opportunity that comes your way. 

As you embark on your Icelandic adventure, celebrate your progress and achievements with an Icelandic twist. Use colourful markers to highlight completed goals or add new elements to your vision board as your dreams evolve. It's a living testament to your Icelandic journey. 

Step 9: Share Your Icelandic Adventure 

Your Icelandic journey is not just about personal growth; it's about sharing your Icelandic experiences with the world. Use social media, travel blogs, or journals to document your Icelandic adventure and connect with fellow Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps members. The OLS Icelandic community is also a great way to share your Icelandic experience, learn from others, and connect with fellow Iceland enthusiasts. You never know who you might inspire along the way! 

Creating a vision board is not only a fun and creative process but also a powerful tool to keep your dreams and aspirations at the forefront of your mind. So, my fellow Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps participants, let's dive into our Icelandic adventures with hearts full of Icelandic dreams, minds full of Icelandic possibilities, and vision boards full of Icelandic inspiration. Together, we'll make every moment of our journey colourful, meaningful, and absolutely unforgettable!
