Tell us all about it! What did you do? What country? What will you do now? What did you learn about yourself?

If you could go back to the beginning, what advice would you give yourself? Are there things you WISH you knew at the beginning of your mobility program? If so, share! You'll be helping the newbies find their way.

Or maybe you're at the end and you're not sure what's next. That's ok! You're not alone. Tell us about that too. :)

Cheerfully yours,

Iya

Oh, hey! Did someone says something you're curious about? Be sure to reply to them directly. :D

Hi, my name is Abdoulaye Idriss from Chad. I finished my mobility program last semester in Lithuania(kaunas). Lithuania is a country with green nature and rich culture. Most of the young people are really friendly and can speak English so it is really easy to get adapted to the country. Participating to the mobility program has given me the opportunity to meet people from different countries with various cultures. At ktk(Kaunas Teknikos Kolegjia) the courses are more based on practical work so I did more laboratory work which helped me to strengthen my theoretical knowledge as an electrical engineering student. We visited a power plant in Kaunas, Museum of Technology in Vilnius and many other historical places as well like Gediminas Castle, Kaunas Castle and Trakai Castle. This was the best experience ever so far. I highly recommend it.

Hi Abdoulaye,

What a fantastic review of your experience in Lithuania! I wanted to give others a chance to reply before I jumped right in, but as it's been a few days; I thought I'd get in on the conversation. :D Hopefully others will too!

I am so curious about what an electrical engineer does. Could you tell us more and also about what you will do later with your degree?

We will also have online, live hangout days where members will meet each other and have a friendly chat to talk about their experiences. I hope you will join us for some of those days!

All the best,
Iya

Hi Anatoli!

It's so great that you had a wonderful experience in Greece and part of that was due to the support you received!

Did you live in a hostel? Many new mobility students are looking for a place to stay, do you think you can share your tips with us here: https://academy.europa.eu/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=1663

We'd love to hear your tips!
