If you're in Syndey, Australia right now, then count yourself lucky! The most iconic piece of architecture in the city turns 50 this year!
To celebrate this momentous event of 50 years of the Sydney Opera House, there is a month-long festival that ends on the 31st of October. Not only do you get to celebrate Hallowe'en, but why not do it in style with performances, theatre, music, and art? Bring friends and family and revel with the other festival goers!
One of the highlights of the festival is the exhibition Whispers by Quandamooka artist Megan Cope. Find out the significance of why the artist placed more than 85,000 oyster shells in the precinct of the opera house and how it relates to thousands of years of Aboriginal celebrations and gatherings at that site.
