Have you ever wondered about words or phrases that read the same forwards and backwards? Palindromes (that’s how they are called) are fascinating and provide an entertaining linguistic challenge for wordplay enthusiasts.

Matej je tam (Matej is there)

Osoba naboso (Barefoot person)

V elipse spí lev (In the ellipse sleeps a lion)

More za jazerom (Sea beyond the lake)

Kobyla má malý bok (The mare has a small flank)

Seno dones (Bring the hay)

Táram ako kamarát (I babble as a friend)

Edo vo vode (Edo in the water)

Elze je zle (Elza is sick)

Má diery, syr Eidam? (Does it have holes, Eidam cheese?)

Ráno kuchár hodí do hrachu konár (In the morning the cook throws a branch into the peas)
