Dear community,

Whenever you go abroad it’s always good to learn a few basics, especially when you’re moving there. In this post you will find a lesson of basic greetings in [LANGUAGE] that, when used, will sure be appreciated by locals.

Greetings Lesson:

  • Hello – Γειά

  • Goodbye – Αντίο

  • Good morning – Καλημέρα

  • Good afternoon – Καλησπέρα

  • Good evening – Καλό απόγευμα

  • My name is … – Το όνομά μου είναι...

  • What is your name? – Πως σε λένε;

  • Nice to meet you – Χαίρομαι που σε γνωρίζω

  • How are you? – Τι κάνεις;

  • I’m fine thank you – Είμαι καλά, ευχαριστώ

  • Please – Παρακαλώ

  • Thank you – Ευχαριστώ

  • Excuse me – Με συγχωρείτε

I hope you enjoyed this lesson! Let me know in the comments below if you have already used some greetings in [LANGUAGE] and how the locals reacted.

Warm regards,
