I'll start by sharing my experience with the ESC (European Solidarity Corps) project that I have done in Finland. I spent 10 months in one of 9 Finnish Youth Centres, helping with various outdoor and indoor activities not only for young people from Finland but for international guests as well. One curiosity to share: I walked on a frozen lake and I ended up in the freezing water! However, it was all intended and totally safe thanks to the special drysuit I was wearing and an instructor who looked out for me.
